Trash & Recycling Guide
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Official Bags Only
Please use ONLY "Fairplay" brand trash bags to dispose of general waste. Other bags are not accepted by the collection service. These can be bought in the small shop on the main street or in any supermarket in Flums
Thank you for helping us keep Waldhaus eco-friendly! Here's how to properly sort and dispose of waste.

🟢
Organic Waste
Food scraps, coffee grounds, tea bags, eggshells, fruit/vegetable peels.
Normal bin in the kitchen
🔵
Paper & Cardboard
Newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes (flattened), paper bags.
Normal bin in the kitchen or take home with you
🟡
Plastic & Metal
PET bottles, cans
PET bottles - return to supermarket, cans - on the way down to Flums or in Flums there are recycling containers for metal.
⚫
General Waste
Non-recyclable items, tissues, hygiene products, broken items.
Normal bin in the kitchen
🟣
Glass
Glass bottles and jars only (no mirrors, ceramics, or light bulbs).
Separate recycling containers on the road down to Flums
📍 Bin Locations
A trash bin is located in the kitchen, under the sink. This is for daily use.
Large containers are by the garage. Transfer full bags here. Use house key if locked.

Batteries, electronics, and hazardous materials should NOT be placed in any bin. Please set these aside and let us know — we'll dispose of them properly.
